During the last edition of the Beijing Motor Show, McLaren showed the work of its special operations division (MSO) in the shape of the 650S MSO Concept. Now, the British brand will produce a series limited to 50 units (in the formats of coupe and spider body) of this project, with the first deliveries are planned for the end of the year. The model will be presented during the Goodwood Festival of Speed.Little has changed from the concept to the final version of this MSO 650S. With the help of McLaren’s design division director, Frank Stephenson, the MSO team has enhanced the 650S’s appearance by equipping it with various carbon fiber components. The super-light alloy wheels with a unique cut on each diamond-shaped rim are fixed by means of titanium screws and are equivalent to a reduction of four kilograms compared to the previous ones. The 650S MSO features three new colors: the “Papaya Spark” which is the modern interpretation of McLaren’s famous orange color, “Agrigan Black” is a striking metallic black with a touch of ruby red and “Sarigan Quartz”, a gray metallic with golden infusions.Each of the 50 cars will be delivered with a design signed by Frank Stephenson and a special leather suitcase with applications in carbon fiber and Alcantara. 2015 – McLAREN 650S LIMITED EDITION
Mclaren and its MSO division (Mclaren Special Operations) introduced the 650S Limited Edition to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mclaren F1 GTR victory in the famous 24 hours of Le Mans.The English brand says the limited edition was inspired by the F1 GTR and will only have 50 copies, only in the coupe version. The car has an air intake in the roof, small air vents in the front fenders, new alloy wheels, orange calipers, carbon fiber front splitter and a new rear bumper with integrated diffuser. The 650S is painted in the special Dark Blue color of the MSO line.Mechanically there was no change, the car equipped with the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine producing 650 hp with an acceleration of 0 to 100 km / h being done in 3.0 seconds and 0 to 200 km / h in 8 , 4 seconds.
2015 – McLAREN 650S SPRINT
Thinking of private customers, McLaren has just unveiled its new exclusive racing model based on the 650S. The new 650S Sprint will debut next weekend in the 2014 edition of Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The new McLaren racing car has received some changes that include developments of the Brake Steer system, plus more refined active aerodynamics and a racing setup of ProActive Chassis Control (PCC) technology.As with the new 650S Coupe, the 650S Sprint’s design optimizations allow for higher levels of downforce while redesigned air intakes allow better cooling of the 3.8 twin-turbo M838T engine. Both the engine and transmission are retained from the 650S, however, they receive a unique calibration with the experience of driving on the track.Manufactured around the MonoCell carbon fiber chassis the interior includes a safety cage according to FIA standards. The driver sees the optimized driving position thanks to the HANS carbon fiber sports seat, with a six-point seat belt. The air conditioning is maintained in order to increase the comfort of the vehicle.The Sprint 650S and the newly introduced 650S GT3 share some design details that include larger fuel tank with links to make faster fueling. Also similar is the front radiator and hood inspired by the GT3 version, with the radiator air vents built in. The front wing blinds help to optimize airflow over and around the vehicle. The 650S Sprint version to be presented at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance will feature a painting with the reversed color scheme of the 650S GT3 presented this year at Goodwood.
The new McLaren 650S Sprint will also be available in a number of options and upgrades that include an aerodynamic package developed through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology that includes a rear wing and a carbon fiber front splitter. In addition, there is also a passenger seat with a seat belt with six attachments and other lightweight components such as a polycarbonate windshield.
2015 – McLAREN MP4-12C AMS PERFORMANCE

Components made of ultra-light carbon fiber in the body, exhaust system in titanium and the best Italian leather interior.The car features a new front spoiler and new side skirts. At the rear, the diffuser was revised and a new airfoil was included. Also an air intake in the ceiling is part of the package and was not only placed for aesthetic purposes, it allows the airflow to reach the rear airfoil with the two components basically working together.The ECU has been reprogrammed and the engine starts to produce 660 hp and 680 Nm of torque, a significant increase in power if we take into account that the original model develops 592 hp and 599 Nm of torque.The DMC did not show any pictures of the interior, but informs that the customer can customize with exclusivity and according to his will, with the company offering several options in leather, alcantara, wood and carbon fiber.
2015 – McLAREN P1 GTR
In this track-oriented version, the hybrid has 1,000 hp and is 50 kg lighter compared to the road version
McLaren has unveiled the (limited) production version of the P1 GTR, which will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland on March 3 – which will be screened with a décor inspired by the iconic McLaren F1 GTR # 06R.It is a competition version, 50% lighter than the road model. To reduce weight, it has polycarbonate side windows (driver’s side with a smaller second window), roof panels and carbon fiber engine cover. The double exhaust tip made of Inconel and the titanium wheels help a diet of over 6.5 kg.The V8 3.8 biturbo engine has been modified, now producing 800 hp – thanks to the installation of specific competition components. Helped by the electric propeller with 200 hp, it allows to total the 1,000 hp. The P1 GTR is 80 mm wider and 50 mm lower than the conventional model. McLaren installed 19-inch wheels with central locking and slick tires from Pirelli. The most visible aesthetic change is the rear wing placed 400 mm above the body (100 mm higher than the adjustable wing of the normal P1). The downforce increased by 10%, allowing to generate 660 kg at 241 km / h.For the competition program, where McLaren allows owners to do an initial test session at the Silverstone Circuit (UK), the first race is scheduled for the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain. All P1 GTR owners will have individual driving lessons at the McLaren Technology Center, where consultants will be responsible for, for example, developing the driver’s seat as far as measuring performance, and discussing the decor of the car and using dodge challenger car cover for safety. The McLaren Special Operation (MSO) division manufactured a P1 especially for Miles Nadal, a Canadian millionaire. Nadal wanted a car inspired by the McLaren F1 GTR winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995. The characteristic colors of the lubricant company Gulf (orange and blue) wear the unit developed by MSO. Its interior, with leather and Alcantara tapestry, has different details also in the same exterior colors of the car. The McLaren P1 is a hybrid supersport that had only 375 units manufactured and that between October and November of 2013 were all sold. It is equipped with a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 727 hp and 719 Nm of torque. Adding the electric motor of 176 hp, its final power reaches 903 hp and 900 Nm of torque.Thanks to its dual clutch transmission and seven speeds accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed exceeding 300 km / h. To achieve a higher downforce, it has an airfoil that opens and adapts automatically.
